He was the poor kid from Wisconsin that we lead down the dark path
I did the same thing to an innocent young FT from Wisconsin.
Them Wisconsin boys were truly unexposed to the "eal" world the CG had to offer.

There was a question posed to me about disappearing pictures (deleted by admin). Did a little asking around, and found the culprit
He shall stay anonymous, but has some helpful words of advice:
Quote
More than likely it was me. I needed to clean up some of our old pictures. We only have a finite amount of space with which to store attachments.
PLEASE tell everyone not to use the attachment feature for anything they want to have kept around for a while. When it gets too full, I'm going to delete some of those pictures. They can use photobucket or something to have pictures in posts.
So, if you want your grandkids and great grandkids to see your pictures on this site, use Photobucket or another hosting account. If you don't care that they get zapped after a few months, feel free to use the attachment feature

Interesting question Arnie
and it wasn't your imagination. Our ratings historian Master's Mate (QMC Dana) talks about the Coastal Forces rating beginning

Bouy,
This link concerns the Coastal Forces program, that existed from 63 to 67.
Hope this helps.

Ok, ok, a day late and a dollar short again. Was up in the foothills with the families celebrating Thanksgiving and the conversation turned to Thanksgivings past; a picture came to mind, and I knew I had to dig through my slides when I came home to find it. Found it
; Thanksgiving 1969 approaching Cam Rahn Bay
(
I know this was Thanksgiving cause I wrote it on the slide, and I never lie
).
Once you got there, it wasn't too bad; if I remember right, the EM club was just up the hill to the right
Whoops, just figured out that I scanned the slides backwards cause the old man's chair was on the port side of the bridge; oh well
, you get the idea.

Boy talk about a reality check - this was taken March 4,1995 at the first reunion of Original Honor Guard members, plus two of the then active members and the Captain of the Base where the Honor Guard is stationed. Out of the 19 shown 6 are known now deceased, and two I haven't been able to confirm as yet. Three of the deceased have happened or been confirm since last Sunday, as I tried to notify members of Chucks death.
Rear row left to right; Jerry Stevens {Deceased}, Myself, Geoff S., Chuck Hawley {Deceased}
Next row down lft to rt. Vic P. [behind cover,with beard], Ken B., Richard S., Paul M.[with dark sunglasses], Michael Ryther {Deceased}, Jack V.,
Gordon Balkus, with sunglasses {Deceased}
Front rows lft to rt Curt D., Matt W.SN, Loren H., Capt. Williams {Deceased}, John G. with sunglasses [?], Jim M.. BM2, Frank F.,
John Miller {Deceased}
10-8-09 Great news, I can take Curt D. off the [?] list - just talked to him
Rest Easy Friends
