Port Security Unit 311 to
return home from Kuwait


SAN PEDRO, Calif. — Coast Guard Port Security Unit 311, located in San Pedro, Calif., will be welcomed home by family and friends during a short ceremony Wednesday after a seven-month deployment to Kuwait.

PSU 311, consisting of 135 members, was stationed at Kuwaiti Naval Base, Kuwait providing shore-side and marine security for the base in cooperation with the U.S. Navy Maritime Security Squadron One.

The ceremony will be held at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at 1001 S. Seaside Ave., San Pedro, Calif. 90731. If members of the media would like to attend, they are asked to call Coast Guard Public Affairs at (310) 294-0752 so the proper accommodations can be made.

Members of Port Security Unit 311 reunite with family and friends July 1 at ISC San Pedro after returning home from a seven-month deployment to Kuwait. PSU 311 was in Kuwait to provide shore-side and marine security for Kuwait Naval Base.

SAN PEDRO, Calif. — SAN PEDRO, Calif. — Members of Coast Guard Port Security Unit 311 returned home to California July 1 from a seven-month deployment to Kuwait.  

PSU 311 was stationed at Kuwaiti Naval Base, Kuwait, providing shore-side and marine security for the base in cooperation with the U.S. Navy Maritime Security Squadron One.

Members of PSU 311 were reunited with family and friends late July 1 at Integrated Support Command San Pedro after being officially granted liberty.
